One of the goals of CHIMS is to provide an opportunity for volunteers to travel with missions to offer expertise and training. Many of us were driven to healthcare out of a strong passion to help those in need. However mainstream medicine with its financial focus in western countries has lead to a degree of disillusionment in many. Mission work provides an opportunity to use our training to help others that are significantly less fortunate without the burden of financial administration.
